Work Package 3 - Development of E-Learning Platform

Work package aims:

- Adaptation of the E- Learning Platform "E-Learning Toolkit" (owned by P1) to the specific needs of the SMEs staff and addition of web 2.0 elements (social networking, chat, wikis) in order to enable the interaction between the different stakeholders from the different partner countries

- Development of an application for the use of the e-learning content in mobile phones and tablets

Methodology:

- The WP coordinator, after consultation with the project partners and stakeholders, will draft a document in which he will describe the adaptations that have been proposed. The adaptations in the e-learning platform will be based on the results of WP2 (and especially the part of the research concerning the pedagogies and learning cultures needed to support e-learning in the sector). The comparative study will show if some special features should be needed in the sector, how the organization of the content could have the maximum efficiency, what kind of multimedia content should be supported etc.). The design of the networking tools will be also based on the research of WP2 since the latter will also identify the needs of the stakeholders in relation with the tools proposed.

- The WP coordinator will send the draft document back to the other partners in order to receive feedback and/or modifications in the proposed design.

- On the basis of the feedback received, the WP coordinator will draw up a final proposal for the development of the tools and the adaptations of the platform which, if approved by the other partners without additional modifications, will be the basis for the development/ adaptations activities.

- When the WP coordinator will develop a first prototype of the web tools and the m-learning application, it will send it to the partners in order to receive feedback. The partners' feedback will be the basis for further improvements.

- The web tools, the adapted version of the e- learning platform and the m-learning application will be developed in English and will be translated in the languages of all the partners that are going to organize pilot courses.
